1. Connection to iPhone/iPad
The connection between mi.1 II and iOS is done via Bluetooth Low Energy MIDI.
Hint: BT MIDI on iOS is NOT displayed in the Bluetooth settings of your iPhone/iPad. It must be set inside the used app f.ex.Garageband.
If you are not sure, ask the app manufacturer.
Preparation:
Turn on the MIDI Instrument when mi.1 II is connected.




2. Connection to a Mac
Preparation:
Turn on the MIDI Instrument when mi.1 II is connected.
The mi.1 II will be powered now.

1.
Start the search with pressing [command]+[space]
Type "audio midi setup" into the search field and start the "Audio MIDI Setup"

Select Window > MIDI Studio

3.
Select the symbol >> Device configuration > Bluetooth configuration ...

4.
Click on "Connect" next to mi.1 II.

5.
If you can see " Disconnect", the connection is established successfully.

6.
The mi.1 II can now be used as MIDI device within your software.
3. Firmware update
It is recommended to update the mi.1 II to its latest firmware to ensure optimum functionality. To do so, at first connect the mi.1 II to the MIDI jacks of your musical instrument. This provides the needed power to mi.1 II. Install the "mi.1 II config" app from the app store now.
